Our History

Our story began in 1993 when Thomas Schenkenfelder, frustrated with the lack of knowledgeable computer professionals, started his own home-based business in Alberta, Canada. Thomas, along with his business partner, built quality computer systems with high-quality, brand-name products, and added superior service. This winning combination launched Starfire Enterprises. In 1999, Thomas moved his business to Reno, Nevada, focusing on catering to home users. In 2005, the business shifted to include small to medium-sized businesses, and Starfire Enterprises was incorporated, operating as Starfire Computer Solutions. In 2017, Thomas moved to Europe, and Dan Boesen took over as the Manager of the Northern Nevada Office, continuing Thomas' legacy.
